If you love wood and all natural materials, then check out The Wooden Watch by Olmo. A gorgeous all wood case makes this watch perfect for the environmentally concious person.
Recently I’ve noticed a trend happening, where everyday products we know and use are being made using wood. Like the bamboo wood keyboard, wooden sunglasses, wooden phone cases, and the list goes on.
And I get it. It looks quite cool.
Don’t get me wrong, Olmo’s The Wooden Watch is definitely not in the “luxury watch” category, but it has a place in the everyday fashion watch space.
Realesed at Baselworld 2014, the Olmo Wooden Watch uses a mechanical, self-winding movement.
Olmo are clearly very proud of their wooden watch creation. In keeping with its green credentials, the wooden case is completely natural. That’s right – no wax or paint. Bare wood. And I think that’s quite beautiful. As the watch ages and is exposed to the elements, each watch will get its own character, which will help explain the life its had on the wrist of its owner.
Taking the “green” aspect of this watch even further is the NATO strap, made of recycled textile… in the colour green, of course.
